X-Rays Made Easy
X-rays are important because they allow medical practitioners to investigate the cause of symptoms as well as help confirm the presence or absence of a disease or injury. The diagnosis of a condition usually requires more than the result of a single examination process. An X-ray should supplement (and not replace) the practitioner's examination and your own medical record.

The benefits of X-rays (in comparison to other types of imaging) include that they:
-
are fast: X-ray results are often available the same day, or even within the hour.
-
are painless and non-invasive
-
don’t require any special preparation (except when contrast media is used)
-
require little to no recovery time: Radioactivity for most types of x-rays end when the procedure ends or a few moments afterwards.
