X-Rays Made Easy
Hello, my name is Albert Tran and this is my capstone project for the class of Human Body Systems.
My capstone project is the creation of a website meant to introduce people to x-rays so that as a society, we can understand the processes a little more, changing the perspective of x-rays from a burden to a miracle. My website demonstrates the different types of x-rays in a PSA manner in order to allow patients to better understand the importance of x-rays and the different functions of x-rays. This website would constitute as biomedical science and biomedical research that would help influence public health.
The goal is that patients will understand enough about x-rays in order for them evaluate medical plans and understand what procedures that they are undergo a lot better, smoothing out the interaction between patients and medical practitioners. The other goal is for medical practitioners to utilize my website as a guide to help teach patients who do not know what the complexity of x-rays.
The topic of x-rays is covered in the class of Chemistry HP and the website can be implemented in future classes. This was the inspiration for the project. With the advance medical studies going around, it can be overwhelming for students who just want a basic understanding of the different types of x-rays.
The implementation for my project was during my free time (mostly on weekends at home). A lot of research and editing had to be done for this project, which made the project time-intensive. I must give credit to Mr. Daniel Cullinane, my Chemistry HP teacher, as I obtained a lot of information through listening to class lectures and presentations.
